Joyce Trygg Born in a small town on Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore, artist Joyce Trygg now resides on a farm in historic Fort Langley, BC with her husband and assortment of dogs, cats and horses.
She began drawing as a child, majored in Art at school and attended Art classes at Douglas College, excelling at drawing, painting, sculpture and Art History. She has been accepted in many juried shows and has won numerous awards. Her paintings are in collections in North America and Europe. Joyce’s love of animals is evident in her paintings. She hopes that portraying these animals will help to make the viewer appreciate, preserve and feel connected to wildlife and to nature. Joyce has attended workshops by Terry Isaac, Paco Young, Daniel Smith, John Banovich and John and Suszie Seery-Lester, painting the wildlife and to nature. She is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and an Associate member of Women Artists of the West. Joyce’s paintings have been exhibited at the Birthplace of BC Gallery since 2002. |
